Dans des circonstances où nous réfléchissons à notre fragilité et impermanence, et à notre impact en tant qu’êtres humains sur le monde que nous traversons, il est important de prêter attention à
l’érosion en tant que phénomène qui expose le cycle naturel des choses et qui révèle une beauté particulière dans son apparition. Paysage sonore de sel propose une expérience immersive autour du concept d’impermanence, amplifiant l’expérience sensorielle de l’érosion en utilisant la vibration, le son et son traitement. L’installation se compose de trois éléments fondamentaux et de
leur interaction cyclique : un monolithe de sel, élément à soumettre à l’érosion ; un agent d’érosion, l’être humain qui interagit avec lui par le toucher ; et un résonateur sonore qui, avec la texture du
sel, agit comme un stimulus sensoriel qui perpétue l’interaction. L’installation, conçue pour sa détérioration, invite à interagir avec le fragile monolithe, à le toucher et à l’éroder progressivement. À son tour, la plaque métallique sur laquelle repose le monolithe est connectée à un système audio qui amplifie et modifie le son du corps au fur et à mesure qu’il se désagrège, de telle sorte que
l’expérience d’interagir avec lui se rapproche du jeu d’un instrument de musique, et qui, en son courte existence programmée, témoigne et exalte la beauté de la transformation des choses.

In the chaos of the universe, everything is plunged into a progressive trance of deterioration. Everything moves, everything vibrates, everything disintegrates and transforms. Erosion is a constant phenomenon in the world, and it shapes its geography in a silent evolution almost imperceptible to our senses. In circumstances where we reflect on our fragility and impermanence, and on our impact as human beings on the world we traverse, it is important to pay attention to erosion as a phenomenon that exposes the natural cycle of things and reveals a particular beauty in its occurrence. "Salt Soundscape" offers an immersive experience around the concept of impermanence, amplifying the sensory experience of erosion through vibration, sound, and its treatment. The installation consists of three fundamental elements and their cyclical interaction: a salt monolith, an element subjected to erosion; an erosion agent, the human being who interacts with it by touch; and a sound resonator which, along with the texture of the salt, acts as a sensory stimulus that perpetuates the interaction. The installation, designed for its deterioration, invites interaction with the fragile monolith, to touch it and gradually erode it. In turn, the metal plate on which the monolith rests is connected to an audio system that amplifies and modifies the sound of the body as it disintegrates, such that the experience of interacting with it approaches playing a musical instrument, and which, in its short programmed existence, witnesses and exalts the beauty of the transformation of things.
