¿Son los recintos del hogar, tal como los concebimos
tradicionalmente, capaces de adaptarse a los estilos de vida,
aspiraciones y deseos disimiles de quienes los habitamos? Ni
Kitchen Ni Offi ce (NKNO) problematiza la fl exibilidad y
resiliencia de estos espacios con base en los cambios a los que
nos hemos visto sometidos en el último tiempo producto del
COVID-19, y las diversas complejidades que implica la vida
contemporánea.
NKNO elude las clasifi caciones convencionales de los recintos de
la vivienda, presentando una isla que amalgama en ella diversas
condiciones, hoy distribuidas en el hogar, para satisfacer una
igual o mayor variedad de necesidades del habitar cotidiano,
entendiendo éstas no sólo como aquellas imperantes para
subsistir, sino también aquellas deseables de satisfacer para una
vida saludable.
Para ello, la isla se concibe como un artefacto lúdico, capaz
de disgregarse y re-articularse en función de las actividades
cambiantes del día a día, principalmente en contextos de
espacios reducidos, en miras de una fl uidez del habitar doméstico
y dando cabida en él actividades que muchas veces quedan
relegadas fuera del hogar, o que debemos incorporar de manera
improvisada por circunstancias extraordinarias como las que
hoy nos ponen a prueba.

Are the rooms of the home, as we conceive them
traditionally, able to adapt to lifestyles, dissimilar aspirations and desires of those who inhabit them? Neither
Kitchen Ni Office (NKNO) problematizes the fl exibility and
resilience of these spaces based on the changes to which they we have been subjected in the last time as a result of the
COVID-19, and the various complexities that life entails contemporary. NKNO eludes the conventional classifications of the enclosures of
the house, presenting an island that amalgamates in it various
conditions, today distributed in the home, to satisfy a
equal or greater variety of daily living needs,
understanding these not only as those prevailing for
subsist, but also those desirable to satisfy for Healthy life.
For this, the island is conceived as a playful artifact, capable of
to disintegrate and re-articulate according to the activities day-to-day changes, mainly in contexts of
reduced spaces, in view of a fluidity of domestic living and making room for activities that often remain relegated outside the home, or that we must incorporate in a
improvised by extraordinary circumstances such as those that Today we are put to the test.
